2026 New York Real Estate Trek
highlighting opportunities within the real estate community
Join us for an exciting adventure on the New York Real Estate Trek, co-hosted by the VU Career Center and Undergraduate Business Program! This unique opportunity invites students to dive deep into the dynamic world of real estate while exploring diverse career paths.
Get ready for an engaging experience on March 11-12, filled with insightful site visits and hands-on skill-based sessions led by VU alumni and industry professionals. Employer partners include Welltower, Artemis, Related Companies, and MORE!! Don’t miss the chance to network, learn, and ignite your future in real estate!
This trek is open to all Vanderbilt Undergraduate Students who have demonstrated interest in the real estate industry (e.g. membership in the Vanderbilt Real Estate Club, Vanderbilt Real Estate coursework, completion of WSP or ACRE courses, prior internship in the RE industry, etc). Due to limited spots available for this trek, we will have a formal application review process starting on January 22nd. Students should be notified of their acceptance status by January 23rd.
If you attended a finance or real estate trek within the past 12 months, you are not eligible to attend this trek.
How will participation develop the students professionally?
- Students will receive guidance on their internship search and application materials from the Career Center’s career coaches.
- Students will receive guidance and resources on the real estate industry and professional development/skill-building.
- Students can actively take part in employer workshops highlighting the significance of networking, navigating life and career in New York after college, and outlining key steps for success for students entering the industry.
Additional Dates to Note If selected, all students are required to participate in:

Virtual Pre-Trek Workshops: Week of March 2 – 6 | Dates and Times TBA
- If selected, students are required to attend only one out of two workshop sessions offered.

New York Real Estate Trek: March 11-12
- Students will travel to New York on March 10, and the trek will commence on March 11-12.
*IMPORTANT: Travel & Accommodations
The cost of a round-trip flight and a two-night hotel stay will be fully covered for participating students. However, all travel arrangements will follow a set itinerary with no flexibility for alternative plans. For example, our group will depart for New York on March 10th and return to Nashville on March 12th. If you wish to arrive earlier or depart later, you will be responsible for booking your own flight and covering any associated costs. All students traveling on the funded itinerary must adhere to the group travel schedule.
